Why learn business writing?

Today I started yet another English class. It’s an Effective Business Writing. Why business? Because we all need money, don’t we? And if someone out there can make dissent (and I want more than just dissent) living by  making something out of wood but who can’t write a few  sentences to convince people to pay money for that creation of his/hers, s/he is in for a big surprise. Yes, may be that creation is so amazing, it will sell itself. You still will need to tell the world that it’s here and you are the future recipient of their money. You don’t want to turn them off by your terrible writing before they even take a look at your fine piece of creation. That’s why I am taking business writing instead of just writing. In addition, what I learn in this class, I will be able to use in any kind of writing. Isn’t it great?
