It was created by and for people who:

1. ****Speaks English (yes, you are not mistaken, you must be able to at least read in it, sorry).
2. Speaks one other language or more.
3. Makes gazillion grammar and spelling mistakes when writing in English.
4. Wants to improve their knowledge of English language at any cost.
5. * Who knows how to use “spell check”.
6. Wants to read about or share their experience being in US as an ESL speaker.
7. Wants to give an advise to an ESL speaker on any immigrant related issues including but not limited to “butchered language” complains.
This blog is not intended to be used as an example of correct English nor it is to support any purposely created mutilated versions of it. However, you are encouraged to make mistakes as much as you want. That means, you can let your fingers do the typing, spell check do the spell check and your mind working on what you’re trying to say and not on worrying about grammar rules. I hope I am clear enough on this one, if not, well, that’s the purpose of the blog in the first place. I’m sure we’ll understand each-other, not the first time.
I’m Erika, and, as you probably figured out by now, English is my second language. I love it, but it doesn’t always love me. I worked very hard and continue to do so to learn it, but I am forgetting my native tongue faster than I am becoming fluent in English. Don’t get me wrong, I am by far better at it now than I was when I first came to this country. However, I don’t like to write as much as I like to talk. It’s a lot harder. To overcome this huge obsticle I started this blog. Actually, there are other reasons also, but I’ll save them for my future posts.
